Happy 1st business birthday!

Lessons Learned from 1 Year in Business

I'm so grateful for everyone who has supported the growth of Lotus. It is really beautiful to witness the community that is forming amongst the yoga members, and to be part of a practice that supports collective growth. I have grown so much as a yoga teacher in the past year as I've deepened my studies in Ayurveda, qi gong, and energy medicine. Having my own practice enables me to be free to explore and not be limited by class labels or studio culture. I'm incredibly grateful to be able to evolve as a teacher and thankful for your trust and willingness to expand and grow with me.

I'm also humbled by those who have invited me to work with them 1:1 to support healing. It is so powerful to have the time and space to build deep relationships with my clients, and to witness the profound shifts that are occurring in their lives. Over the past year, I've worked with clients with acute injuries, persistent pain, autoimmune conditions, digestive disorders like Crohn's and IBS, headaches, skin conditions, chronic fatigue, adrenal dysfunction, tick-borne illnesses, anxiety, depression, chronic PTSD, and neurological conditions. I've worked with people who are relatively healthy and want to create systems that will help them maintain their health, and I've worked with people who have had significant symptoms for decades. No matter where people are in their healing journey, it is magical to see what happens when people start to listen to their bodies and be responsive to their own needs.

My practice is built on relationships and connection. I spend time with my clients and I listen to their story. I help clients interpret the messages their bodies are offering. Rather than give clients a list of do's and don'ts, my goal is to provide education that empowers clients to know how to heal themselves and how to create a lifestyle that supports health and healing. I really love what I do, and I'm honored to be a guide and mentor in my clients' healing journey.

Whether you've taken one or many classes, worked with me 1:1, or simply read this newsletter or followed me on Instagram, I'm grateful for your support in this adventure. I couldn't do this work without you, and it is my sincere wish that our relationship with each other continues to deepen. I hope to see you soon, and I'd love to hear from you, especially if we've never met or don't see each other regularly! Reply to this message and tell me how you are and where you need support. I'm here for you, and I want us to keep learning and growing together.

With much love and gratitude,

Rachel
